I agree with you on the shift in tone. There wasn't quite as much comedy as the other episodes. I think the writers wanted the reveal of the demon's name to be appropriately weighty/scary, plus we've got a crazy German-ish terrorist group to deal with.

I'm just going to cross my fingers on Jenny dying for no good reason anytime soon. :p
