Liveblogging Sleepy Hollow: The One With the Bad Cop, Bad Cop Routine

Linguistic Issues:

* I'd like to know Crane's opinion of Twain and Faulkner.

* I highly doubt Crane understands "game," or not hating on the players.

* Although Abbie's conflict with Crane over the interrogation was dramatic, there's no way he'd know the rules she was talking about.

Plot Points:
* I think the ratings should warn for language errors, violence, and potential historical inaccuracy, not just language and violence.

* OK, there's a lot of sudden fluency about magic and imprisoning on everyone's part... But Abbie doesn't know the word necromancer? What? And Irving's talking about hex spells with a little too much familiarity for my liking.

* Wild German cultist appears!

* So, Brooks is this series' Renfrew now?

* More SYSTEM FAILURE talk. When did Irving become the gold standard of loyalty there? Ooh, I wanna work in an antiques store with a secret passage! I will say that this fortuitously appearing antique store seems to be something straight out of an RPG. I had something very similar in my Buffy game, and it is. The. Best. (For plot contrivances.)

* An impeccably dressed failure, sir! Even as Death, Headless LaMar is a sharp dresser.

* And speaking of sharp dressers, Flashback!Katrina looks good. As usual, though, her speech seems more 1st wave feminist than period appropriate. Ah well, I'm not feeling too picky because I like this new wrinkle in the Katrina/Ichabod love story, and because I happen to agree with her.

* Whoa! Irving went from not trusting Jenny to taking her on a dangerous op. Uhm, OK.

* Crane is asking all the questions I want answers to. YAY! Crap, the power's off. Nice cliffhanger, writers.

* I also like the way that Abbie maintains her trust with Crane, but demands answers. That's nice character development. Ooo, bad move, Flashback!Crane. The fancy sword fight scene was exciting, although it seemed a little shoehorned in.

* No, PCs, don't split up! No, gross, Renfrew, don't put magical items in there! GROSS!

* OH TWIST! Ok, the sword fighting was in there for a reason.

* Heh, Abbie telling Crane what's what after the whole thing is pretty fab. And it led to good strategizing on our heroes' part. :)

Lol, yes. The American Revolution was fought for...love!

Good moment at the end with Abbie to get in Ichabod's head a little, and him accepting it.
