I did not stay up through the Eli Stone nonsense. What was the super sekrit announcement?
I never cared for Charlie, and his death didn't affect me all that much, so, yeah, definitely wondering why all the fuss. As for him escaping his fate, I don't know. It did slightly redeem his character for me (I stopped yelling STFU! every time he was on-screen) but I didn't care about him enough to see it AGAIN AND AGAIN. OTOH, ghost!Charlie looked better than Charlie ever did and his interaction with Hurley was downright creepy!
Maybe Jack takes up drinking because he has to use Hair Club for Men?! >:D
As for the coffin, I have no clue. Someone thought it might be Michael because we saw the words "survived by his son" in the piece of newspaper Jack was lurching around with, but way too cryptic for me. I think the only way that Locke will ever leave the Island is by virtue of death.
