Talk about non-comics stuff, thread derail, and just generally chat among yourselves.
The intent of these posts is to chat and have some fun and, sure, vent a little as required. Reasoned debate is fine, as always, but if you have to ask if something is going over the line, think carefully before posting please.
Normal board rules about conduct and behaviour still apply, of course.
It's been suggested that, if discussing spoilers for recent media events, it might be advisable to consider using the rot13 method to prevent other members seeing spoilers in passing.
The world situation is the world situation. If you're following the news, you know it as much as I do, if you're not, then there are better sources than scans_daily. But please, no doomscrolling, for your own sake.
In light of the advice in the last paragraph, and due to work requirements, I think I will leave things short and sweet, and simply wish a Happy Mar10 Day, to those who celebrate the achievements of video games most prominent plumber.

Giffen, Jones, Rogers. Warning for some cruelty-to-animals comedy on a couple of covers.
Justice League Europe was in no hurry to get back to high-octane excitement after the Extremists arc. The last two issues had seen the team playing around on the beach and shopping in London. Issue #22 involves an actual crime and a JLE-adjacent character in some jeopardy, but within those bounds, it’s still as low-stakes as you can imagine.

The short form is that they're denying trans inmates gender-affirming care despite medical consensus, and substituting conversion therapy, which has been proven to be harmful and does not in any way "cure" gender dysphoria.

Ronon's in a relationship with John and as part of learning English he starts emailing John's estranged brother, Dave. Rodney then gets involved as Ronon goes to him for help. The characterisations of Ronon, John, and Rodney here are spot on, and it's both funny and moving - a wonderful set of stories.

Monday, March 9th, 2026 06:25 pmtielanThe two pullets we got a couple of weeks ago started going downhill from probably Friday night. We could only get them to the vet this afternoon (Monday).
They have antibiotics and we're crop-feeding them, but I don't think it's going to do much good.
Fifteen minutes later: Nien-Go is dead. We're not sure if Jima-wu is going to survive, although she was always doing better than dainty little Nien-Go.
