Language issues:
Medic: I think Crane would be more likely to call for a doctor or a surgeon, but he wouldn't know the term medic.
"Abbie, what is this twilight zone/tricked out Delorean/schtick of which you speak?"
Sandman: good bit of dialogue there about who that mythological figure is.
Episode Impressions:
* I liked the opening dream sequence Abbie had. It was appropriately creepy without being too obvious.
* Crane and the remote. Heh.
* "We are amicable, and yes, I am male." :D The Jenny/Crane dialogue was very interesting. He seemed to be implying that she had some kind of psychic ability, and the she implied right back that Abbie had something similar, and I'm really eager to see how this plot strand plays out. Of course, I'm most eager to see Abbie and Jenny talk.
* Oh, that's the reason for the rift between them. That does make sense. I feel sorry for Abbie and Jenny of the past, even more so because of the way Abbie talks about foster care. It sounds like younger Abbie only had "self-preservation" on her moral compass, but Jenny hadn't quite prioritized that.
* Wow, past relationships history! Gunshots fired! Nothing in this town is private! I hope the real life town isn't as gossipy (or apocalypse-prone) as this.
* Crane has mastered opening an energy drink (yay?) but the taste... Actually, I'm with him on this one. Barf.
*Seriously, the early plans for unifying the colonies were based on First Nations plans? That would be awesome, but I don't remember anything to that effect in The Federalist Papers.
* Although the story had to rush a bit, the ritual part worked well, like a good RPG.
* Sand into glass? Nice.
* Is Captain Orlando good or EBIL? I can't tell anymore.
Next week: Cultists led by a guy who looks like a more articulate Bane! Awesome!
