I watch it because I don't think I have EVER seen anything on TV or in a movie that depicts what it really looks like to be bisexual, and convey a lot of what it feels like as well, without it being an exception in time of crisis or having horrible results. They convey both the confusion and the wonder and the thankfulness and the not wanting to be any other way.
I also watch it for the boykissing. I think the Ianto/Jack thing came on too abruptly too, but I also identified VERY STRONGLY with Ianto trying to save his old life and trying to figure out what to do now. Nevertheless, when there is Jack/Ianto kissing, my buddies yell "Aww come on that's not believable!" while I'm yelling "GO BBC GO!" And we can live with that.
Finally, I watch it because Owen is such an amusing dick so much of the time. And because Gwen is adorable.
My predictions: Ianto will take an evil turn, Owen will get himself killed at some point, and I will be sad about both of these things but it'll be fun to watch.
