Semi Movie Recs

In movies lately:
"Hancock": I love the central conceit of this movie, that Hancock isn't a superhero, but a jerk with super powers. I love that other people in the movie recognize this and strive to correct it, out of the idea that jerkitude can be defeated with the right PR! However, I am sad that because of plot contrivance, the OT3 that I would have liked to have seen simply would not have worked. So... er... yeah. A fun movie, definitely, and probably well worth seeing on the big screen. There are some very funny sight gags and Will Smith plays the character well, although I'm not sure I entirely buy the transformation that occurs on screen. Perhaps the funniest thing about this movie is that one of the main complaints against Hancock is his propensity to cause property damage, which is my Dad's central criticism of the new Batman.
From Netflix, "The Fountain": Although very pretty to look at in places, this movie reminds me of something a high school English teacher would show to teach the class about SYMBOLISM and then get mad when the kids started snickering at the overwrought and incredibly blatant sexual imagery.
EDIT: Also, I am beginning to regret reading anything on the Internet. I have just had the ending of Season 2 of Robin Hood spoiled, along with the ending of Doctor Who Season 4, which I hadn't even started yet and was looking forward to. D:
